Spanning almost two years, Belmont 16ft Sailing Club (the Club) has undergone a monumental renovation to commemorate its centenary. As one of Lake Macquarie’s iconic destinations offering a blend of sailing, dining, entertainment and picturesque views, the unveiling of a new contemporary club marks a new era for the Club, members, and the community. For over ten years, Sharp Office has provided print technology and office products to aid the Club’s office operations.
In addition to the Club’s public spaces and façade, work was also completed on office spaces, welcoming a new furniture fit-out by Greg Gibbons. Since working with David Potter and Michael Capriotti, Club CEO Scott Williams and Financial Controller Zoran Ilievski have simplified the management of print technology and stationery.
Do hospitality venues need office furniture?
While hospitality venues like Belmont 16ft Sailing Club operate primarily to serve patrons, their success is based on the business which occurs back-of-house, such as administration, marketing, purchasing and more. These departments are the foundation of any venue, which is why it’s crucial to have a space that accommodates staff and allows room for growth.
For any new office refresh, style and functionality is key. The right office furniture can promote a productive work environment, such as key items which are ergonomic, fit for purpose or assist in maximising the size of an office space. There are several considerations when choosing office furniture, which is where an experienced specialist like Greg can help make the process simple and ensure your business needs are met.
What’s trending in office furniture?
Two key office spaces were furnished in this project, the sailing office and the multi-zone club office. Working closely with Zoran, Greg proposed solutions that accommodated staff occupying open-plan workspaces, private offices, meeting rooms and reception spaces.
For Zoran, the Club didn’t have to look far to find office furniture solutions in Sharp Office. According to Zoran, “Greg and his team gave us a wide variety of options coupled with exceptional service and price. We now have an Administration facility that is second to none”.
To achieve this outcome, Greg shared current trends in office furniture to ensure an aesthetically pleasing finish. A current trend in office furniture is natural oak finishes, which are light and contrast well with any office aesthetic, as well as sit/stand workstations that consider the ergonomic comfort of staff. Several key pieces were used to create the sophisticated and practical end result for Zoran and the Belmont 16s team:
- Boost Electric Sit Stand Workstation In Natural Oak with Partition And Mobile Drawers
- Express Hino High Mesh Back Chair with/without Headrest
- GEO Executive Electric Sit Stand Desk with P-End And Floating Drawer
- Jet Mesh Visitor Chair
- Volt Boardroom Chair with Arms, Adjustable Seat And Angle Back
